The One That Got Away * Consignment
Every year I return to Good Hope Cannery to enjoy the people and some fantastic salmon fishing. This is the home of my Chieftainship, Tlakwagila, it is a wonderful place and close to my heart. It has been a joy to witness the catch and release program encouraged at the lodge. I am proud of the ethics of the Allard family and their dedication to the preservation of these beautiful salmon.
It is with pride that I join in supporting the Whonnock Fish Hatchery by donating this edition of prints to Good Hope. I know that the proceeds will go to help preserve the beautiful Spring Salmon unique to this area.
We all have stories of the one that got away and I was reminded of this in a conversation this past summer of 2010. It always seems that the big one gets away and I'm proud to be part of a program to support the release of those big fish to go their way that hundreds will come from their release.
